Hendrik Olivier

(B.Proc; CFP)

Hendrik obtained a BProc degree in 1993, and was admitted as an attorney in 1996. He then joined Old Mutual as a legal advisor. He completed the Institute of Life and Pension Advisors associate’s exam (CFP) in 1998 and won the Old Mutual National Broker Legal Advisors competition.

In 1999 he established Exceed Integrated Financial Solutions (Pty) Ltd, and in 2000 Exceed Wealth Management (Pty) Ltd as an asset management company. From April 2000 to May 2003, Hendrik was the authorised representative and investment manager for Exceed Wealth Management (Pty) Ltd.

His role included advising clients, management of client portfolios, compliance, implementing internal management structures concerning risk and administration processes and reporting to the Financial Services Board of South Africa (FSB).

In 2003 Hendrik established Vestco Financial Services (Pty) Ltd and from 2003-2010 was involved in the management of Unit trusts. In 2008 he established Qumulus Property Investments focusing on direct property investments, locally and offshore.

Mainreef Group was established in 2012, incorporating the activities of Vestco and Qumulus. As an investment group, Mainreef focuses on property and equity investments, asset management services and business services.

Burgert Blom

BCOMPT (HONOURS), CA (SA)

Burgert graduated with Honours in Accounting Science in 1998, and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2003.

In 2000, he joined ABSA in their Bank Credit and Risk Management Division, where he was responsible for the evaluation, alignment and implementation of their credit and risk philosophy for targeted SVPs/acquisitions by the group’s retail arm.

Post his banking career, Burgert moved into private consulting, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and private equity acquisitions. He is also involved in exit strategies for private equity firms. In 2009, he was appointed as financial director of African Brick Centre Ltd, and was instrumental in its successful delisting from the JSE Alt-X in 2011 during the collapse of the building industry.

As a results-driven professional, Burgert currently consults for clients in a number of different industries including optic fibre, property investments and transport.
